Forestillinger:

ENGSLISH
“Poverty Slaps, But We Slap Back Harder” is a raw and honest celebration of survival, where hope refuses to die and humour becomes a weapon against despair. The performance tells the story of people who build a life out of nothing and find the courage to keep dancing, even when the music stops. It captures the struggle for survival, success, and identity, showing that even in the darkest corners, dreams can shine brightly.
MATATA performed to enthusiastic audiences and sold-out houses at Gamle Munch in 2025, before becoming part of Oslo World. This year, the production returns to the festival, giving new audiences the chance to experience a story filled with energy, humour, music, and joy for life. When poverty strikes, we strike back harder.
